Sinead O’Connor was hospitalized just days after her 17-year-old son was found dead.

The 55-year-old revealed last night that she was with the police and taken to doctors in a heartbreaking Twitter post.

The singer said she feels “lost” and “hats” herself without Shane, who committed suicide after escaping the hospital while on suicide watch.

She wrote online: ‘I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I am now with the police on my way to the hospital.

“I’m sorry I upset everyone. I am lost without my child and I hate myself. The hospital will help for a while.’

She wrote: ‘I’m a piece of shit. I don’t deserve to live and anyone who knows me will be better off without me. I’m sorry for all the damage I’ve caused.

“I’ve been alone for the last three days. Because I’m S***. And rightly so, no one wants to know me. I upset Shane’s father for tweeting the funeral. I’m so scared. I’m sorry. I am lonely. Twitter is for lonely people. Monsters like me get terribly lonely.

“This is none other than mine. Shane’s death is no one’s fault but mine. Mine is nobody’s fault but mine. I don’t want to be in a world without my Shane and without my other kids. I don’t deserve to live.

That is my mistake. From no one else.

“From the day I was born, I was crazy. It’s not my parents’ fault or my family or kids’ fault. It’s mine. God made me wrong. So I send myself back and I find the. The only person on this earth who ever really loved me. (sic)’

Last weekend, Sinead – who changed her name to Shuhada’ Davitt in 2018 – revealed that she had formally identified Shane’s body.

She wrote on social media: “I have now formally identified the remains of my son, Shane. May God forgive the Irish state, for I never will.’

A day earlier, the hitmaker ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ took to Twitter to announce that her son had been found dead.

She tweeted: “My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the light of my life, has decided today to end his earthly struggle and is now with God. May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace. (sic)’

Shane was missing and police in Ireland previously admitted to being concerned for his well-being.
