Australian golden tennis girl Ash Barty, 25, will debut her acting skills on Sunday.

The women’s No. 1 will be featured in a hair-raising new TV campaign for Uber Eats, which will run during the Australian Open.

Ash told the publication that despite her acting skills being “very limited,” it was “fine” to get herself “out of the comfort zone.”

“I’m a tennis player, not an actor, and it’s okay to push myself and get out of my comfort zone a bit. The crew and team made me feel very welcome, and most of all we had fun,” she said.

Ash also joked that she didn’t take acting classes, saying, “I’m just rolling on with it, mate.”

Earlier this week, Ash revealed the unusual post-match meal she swears by, featuring a bizarre mix of two “iconic Aussie” treats combined.

The athlete told 9Honey that she likes to mix a classic chicken parmigiana meal with a condiment that many frown upon — a dollop of Vegemite.

Ash calls the dish the “Barty Parmy,” where the fried schnitzel is slathered with a generous drizzle of Vegemite on top of the cheese, before being placed in the oven for five minutes.

Ash told the publication that she came up with the idea together with the Vegemite team, saying, “I think a parmy and Vegemite are both iconic Australian. We thought it would be a good idea to make a dish where we combined the two.”

“Vegemite on toast makes me feel at home, it’s one of those home comforts that you really appreciate when you’re far away,” she added, before confirming that she likes to pack a bathtub in her purse for when she travels.

She also said she likes to eat the dish when she celebrates a win, and will combine it with different sides depending on whether she’s working out or not.

“When I’m working out, I’d say a salad is the best side,” she said. “When I’m not working out, probably chips and salad!”

Ash, who withdrew from the Sydney Tennis Classic to head straight to Melbourne to prepare for the Australian Open, has had much to celebrate in recent months.

In November, it was revealed that Ash was engaged to her five-year-old boyfriend, Garry Kissick.

Ash announced the news in an Instagram post, sharing two photos of the couple together with her diamond ring on display.

Ash wrote in the caption “Future Husband,” next to a ring emoji.

Golfer Gary, 29, also shared the footage on his own social media, revealing that the couple actually got engaged a week earlier, on November 15.

He wrote in his caption: ’15/11/2021 love you @ashbarty’.

The Australian tennis star met Gary during a round of golf at Brooklands Golf Club in Queensland in 2016, and they’ve been together ever since.
